Welcome to the Verzani Miniatures Blog

Due to life outside of miniature painting, I no longer have the time to keep my website up to date. I thought a blog would be a much easier way to showcase my work to the public. I am going to try and keep this blog pretty simple, so I have a better opportunity to share my work with you. I plan on adding some tutorials very soon, as well as keeping you updated with my projects.

I am still taking on commission work, if you are interested in having something painted, please email me at mattverzani@cableone.net.

Kind Regards,

Matt Verzani

It has been a while since I have done any complicated freehand designs on a miniature, so I decided to really throw some on this Fallen Angel that I painted for Dark Sword Miniatures. I really liked the very dark color scheme of the miniature. I think the contrast from the black wings and cloak and the light skin tone really makes this miniature pop out at you.

Here is a Dark Sword High Elf Warrior miniature recently painted for Dark Sword Miniatures. For the clothing I was shooting for a military uniform look, so all of it was painted in different shades of blue. I thought it turned out very nice.

It's been a while since I last update my blog, so I thought I better get some new minis up. Here is an "Urmuth" miniature from Andrea that I just about have finished. He is a 54mm miniature from Andrea's Warlord series. It is definitely a superbly sculpted miniature, and has been a lot of fun to paint.

I really like how the axe blade turned out. It was painted in the non-metallic metal style. The blood on the axe was done by picking out the blood splatter design with liquitex titanium white. I then went over the white with thinned down red ink. Once that was complete, I washed over the blood streaks with a very diluted mix of red ink and Vallejo bright red.

This miniature is being painted for a private collector.

I've placed "Captain Falco" up for auction on ebay. Check it our here: Blood Angel Captain Auction

Here is a converted Captain Shrike miniature I painted for fun. I thought he would look good painted in red and gold, so I converted him into a Blood Angel, and made the base out of greenstuff and some 40K scenery. I had to wiegh the base down by gluing a large metal washer under the base, so it would be stable enough to support the miniature. I thought he turned out pretty cool.

Matt

Here is a Theon Greyjoy miniature from Dark Sword Miniatures George R.R. Martin Masterworks Song of Ice and Fire line. It is another amazing sculpt from Jeff Grace, and is currently up on Ebay: Theon Auction
Here is a converted Dark Elf from Reaper miniatures. I think she was originally an Elf Pirate. But I went a little darker with her. She is up on ebay now:Dark Elf Auction
